2014 MNA Conference registration is underway! This year’s theme: “Plugging into Nature” explores the various ways we can use technology, new and old to connect people to nature.

The interpretive model used by the National Park Service, National Association for Interpretation and others in our field can be boiled down to “how do we connect people to the resource?” As interpreters, we use tools and techniques to make those connections. Technology is a tool and we often forget that a book is as much technology as an iPad. As resource interpreters, both high technology and low technology can help us make deeper connections, reach new audiences, increase fundraising and make a difference.

We have an exciting array of keynote speakers and concurrent session presenters lined up this year. All of them are focused on how we metaphorically plug people into nature and make those connections.
