My environmental education background has been developed by experiences at the North Mississippi Regional Park, Minnesota Herpetological Society, Lowry Nature Center, Dodge Nature Center, Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, Baker Near-Wilderness Settlement, Tettegouche State Park, and Fort Snelling State Park. I regularly volunteer at hands-on live animal programs through the Minnesota Herpetological Society.
My outdoor recreational experiences include hiking, tent and hammock camping, backpacking on the Superior Hiking Trail, fishing, birding, geocaching, snowshoeing, rock climbing, canoeing, axe throwing, instructing archery, and campfire cooking.
I know quite a bit about the daily care and handling for many species of reptiles, amphibians, raptors, farm animals, and domestic and exotic pets.
I care for a large personal collection of native and exotic reptiles and amphibians including snakes, salamanders, axolotls, a snapping turtle, a bearded dragon, and a leopard gecko.
