Visitor Services Internship at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, Zimmerman, MN

Conservation Corps of Minnesota and Iowa position from mid-January through mid-December.

This position will include answering visitor questions, assisting with event planning, working with elementary students in the education program, leading interpretive crane tours and working with and supporting volunteers. This position will have the opportunity to get out on all four refuges within the Sherburne NWR Complex (Sherburne, Crane Meadows, Mille Lacs, Rice Lake) and assist with biological surveys as needed.

We are looking for candidates with customer service experience, good verbal and written communication skills, willingness to work with volunteers, and the ability to work in a team and independently. Knowledge about local plants, birds, mammals, and/or insects is preferred but not required.

As compensation, the intern receives a $1690 stipend monthly, a $6095 education award following the successful completion of the term and the pleasure of working with a great team!

Outdoor Education Program Facilitator, Camp Fire Minnesota

Part Time & Seasonal
This position leads inquisitive young minds during school field trips at Tanadoona, in-class sessions, and day off school programs, teaching them all about nature and the outdoors. This position may also lead groups through the team-building challenge program. All programs serve a large variety of students from the Twin Cities Metro area with grades K-12.
